Pääkäyttäjyys hävis

Asensin jokusen vuoden vanhaan iMacciin Snow Lepardin ja nyt väittää etten olisi pääkäyttäjä, on vaan lukuoikeudet, WTF! Alkuperäiset koneen omat asennuslevyt on nyt muuton jäljiltä "jossain"..

Varmaan nuo Illerin ohjeet toimivat:

" ran OS X 10.4.10 (Tiger) on my MacBook Pro, and decided to upgrade to Leopard right away. After the upgrade process, I found that my printers were missing, so I decided to install them again (no biggie I thought). However, I found that my account was marked as a standard user, not as an administrator - even though nobody else uses my MBP, and had no other accounts.

I found an easy work-around for this problem, and decided to share it here for the community:

1. Restart your Mac in single-user mode (hold down the Command-S key during startup)
2. To gain write access to the drive, type the following (minus the quote marks): "mount -uw /" and press return. Notice that a space is to be left between the w and the /.
3. Type (minus the quote marks):"rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" and press return. Notice that a space is to be left between rm and /var.
4. Type (minus the quote marks): "reboot", and press return.

What will happen? After typing reboot and hitting return, your Mac will...well..reboot, and the Setup Assistant screen will appear (a similar assistant that ran when you first turned on your Mac right out of the box). Fear not!!! Just go along with it, you will not lose any information (I guarantee you, I didn't - and even if you did, you are already running Leopard and hopefully, Time Machine as well). When you reach the point of creating an account, name it Administrator, type in an EASY password to remember, and a hint (obvious if possible) to remember this password. When this process is finished, just click GO to start using Leopard. You will be automatically logged with the Administrator account you just created. Go to Settings->Accounts, select YOUR account (not the Administrator one you created), and grant it the "Administrator Rights". Logout from the Administrator Account, and Login with your usual account. Go to Settings->Accounts, and verify that your usual account has Administrator Privileges. If so, delete the Administrator Account you created, and Presto!

Buuttaa toisella osiolla ja TinkerToolilla näkymättömät näkymään. Poista " /var/db/.AppleSetupDone" ja buuttaa korjattavaan. Luo uusi käyttäjä, kirjaudu sisään, korjaa ent käyttäjän oikeudet ylläpitoon. Kirjaudu ulos, sisään ja poista tilapäinen käyttäjä."
