When you install Acrobat, the Adobe PDF printer is created automatically in the Print Center. Here are the steps to re-install the Adobe PDF printer if it is accidentally deleted:
-Exit Acrobat and/or Distiller if running.
-Do one of the following to become "root" user:
-a. Log off the Mac OS and log back in as "root".
-b. Open the Terminal application and log in as "root'.
(If you do not have a "root" login, see Mac Help for instructions to create the "root" user).
-If you just logged in as "root", then open the Terminal application.
-Delete this file (from UNIX): /usr/libexec/cups/backend/pdf
-Log off as "root" and log back in with your user name and password (or any user with Adminstrator privileges).
-Restart Acrobat. You will be prompted for your Admin password and/or your Acrobat serial number.
Your Adobe PDF printer should now be re-created and listed in the Print Center

Toimisikohan että avaat Pääte-ohjelman (löytyy lisäohjelmista) ja kirjoitat "sudo rm /usr/libexec/cups/backend/pdf" (ilman lainausmerkkejä) ja annat salasanan kun sitä kysytään.

I accidentally removed my PDF printer from my OS X printer list. When I go to page setup, click on "Format for" and select "edit printer list", there is no way to add the PDF printer back into the printer selection. How do I re-install the PDF printer back into the printer list?
A: There are two ways to get your Adobe PDF printer back if you have accidentally removed it.

Method 1: Force Acrobat to re-install it.
Note: Mac OSX 10.3.x (Panther) users should update to 6.0.1 before performing these steps.

Quit Acrobat and Print Center if they are running.
Delete the AdobePDF.app application that's installed in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/
Launch Acrobat 6. You will be prompted to authenticate the installer by entering your password.
Launch Print Center and verify that Adobe PDF has been added to the printer list.


Method 2: Install the printer manually.
Launch Printer Setup Utility (Panther) or the Print Center (Jaguar) from the Applications/Utilities folder.
Hold down the Option key and click the Add button in the Printer List window.
Select Advanced from the Printer connection drop-down menu.
In the Device Field, select "Adobe PDF (pdf)"
For Device Name, type the following: Adobe PDF
For Device URI, type the following: pdf://www.adobe.com
For Printer Model, select Adobe.
Click OK

Yo People,
Kiitos sain tehtyä sen printterin ja nyt saan ns. tulostettua niitä pdf.
kysymys: Esim: exel ohjelmaan ilmestyy se PDF pikanappi valikko ylös
niin ne napi ei löydä edlleenkään sitä printteriä, onko normaalia vai miten
ne laitetaan toimii!
