Ulkoinen dvd-paahdin iKirjalle

Mikähän näistä toimisi ongelmitta pantterissa. Mieli tekisi tuota halvinta LG:tä kokeilla mutta mistään ei tunnu löytyvän suoraan hyllystä ja valmistajan sivujen mukaan vaatii windossin. Eikö kaikkivoipa firewire-liitäntä riitä tässä tapauksessa?

xlr8yourmac.com-sivustolta löysin seuraavan tiedon. Eli oletettavasti kaikki lLife-ohjelmat toimisivat kun asennat Patchburnin.

Reader Comments: This external Super-Multi DVD Rewriter from LG Electronics has a silver front to complement any Mac PowerBook and features a glossy white case which matches the iMacs. It features both USB 2.0 and Firewire hookups and comes complete with cables. No Mac software is included and while it specifically lists system compatibility specs only for Windows machines - funny enough, it also notes on the box that DVD-Ram is not compatible with Mac computers. So someone at LG must have tried hooking this drive up with a Mac
I'm running the latest version of Mac OS X 10.3.8 and upon booting up the drive could be detected in Roxi Toast and worked flawlessly but, not in iTunes initially. Upon applying Patchburn 3 - iTunes burning worked fine. This drive supports dual-layer burning however, I've yet to pick up some media to test.

This drive is also bootable (from CD) and plays back DVD's fine with no issue. The drive is also quiet and doesn't tend to vibrate too much during burning and disk access unlike some other external drives.

All in all I highly recommend this drive given it is compatible with all 3 DVD formats as well as the fast writing speeds.

Olen itse etsinyt tietoa juuri samasta aiheesta. Omia kokemuksia ei ole mutta sain juuri uutta infoa, jonka mukaan tämän pitäisi toimia

Pikkusysterin poikaystävällä on iBookin kaverina Lacien Porsche-kärventäjä ja se toimii suoraan iDVD 5:sen kanssa.

Juuri tällaisia kommentteja olen kaivannut.

Mulla on Pioneerin DVR-109 ulkoisessa FW/USB kotelossa, ja tuon patchburnin asennuksen jälkeen toimii ihan ok. Ainoastaan polttimen firmwaren päivitys ei onnistu, kun tuo Pioneerin päivityssofta vaatii että poltin on kiinni IDE väylässä. (ei löydä sitä ulkoisena)

sain pari tuntia sitten uuden 12" iBookin ja liitin siihen Lacie d2 DVD-+RW 16X firewire polttimen ja iDVD poltti sillä dvd-elokuvan moitteetta ilman mitään ajureita tai patcheja.

Toivottavasti tästä on apua saman ongelman kanssa painiville.
