PowerLogix (PowerForce47 G4/2.0GHz with 512K card) prossapäivitys pyörii DA:ssa ihan kivuttomasti...kunhan vaan laitan sen asetuksista toimimaan alennetulla teholla.
Jos laitan sen toimimaan korkeimmalla tai automaattisella asetuksella, niin se tilttaa Photarin (CS). Ei ihan heti, mutta noin 20 sekan tai 30 sekan tai...vaihtelee. Myös joku peli (en muista tosin mikä) heivas koneen Kernel-paniikkiin asti, mutta ei sekään alemmalla nopeudella.
Outoa on, mutta jos joku muu on jo saman ongelman kanssa paininut, niin korjausvinkeistä olisin kiitollinen. (nyt olo on kuin ajaisi motarilla kuuttakymppiä)

The first things to try are zapping the pram and resetting the nvram: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
If those do not help then try a full Logic Board Reset:
1. Unplug the computer
2. Open the machine
3. Press and hold the CUDA/PMU/S1 for 7 seconds if on a G3 or earlier machine or 1 second for a G4 or newer machine; a small silver button by the PCI slots and PRAM battery
4. Press the power button on the front of the machine 3 times, holding it for 1 second each time
5. Remove the PRAM battery for an hour to an hour and a half; looks like a half-sized AA battery
6. Put the battery back in, close the machine up, and give it a try.
If problems still occur after doing the resets you will want to run the Chess Test. This is the best way to test your processor and is done by using the application Chess, which Apple includes with OS X. If you launch the program Chess, you can set the preferences to have the computer play itself. This provides a unique set of conditions on the computer. Because Chess is so math intensive, it will push the CPU to its maximum usage for a majority of the time it is playing the game. It is not very ram intensive, video intensive, and does not access the hard drive. This limits the pressure to just the processor. We have found over the past few years, that this will cause most bad processors to fail. For our tests, we will have the computer play 5 to 7 games of chess in a row. With a good processor installed, Chess may fail once in that group of games. Usually Chess completes each game without incident. If Chess fails 2 or more times in that group of 5 to 7 games, the!
n that is very strong evidence that the processor may be defective. Of course this is not a 100% test, but for OWC's purposes, if a processor fails the Chess test, we will replace the processor. If you find that the processor passes the Chess test, but still has stability problems with other applications, that will suggest that the cause of the stability problems is not a defective processor. Please conduct this test using Chess, and let me know what your results are.
