How-To: Nokia 9300i + DNA + Bluetooth Modem

This is short description on how to get internet access with Mac OS X 10.4.10 and without any additional software or scripts. This how-to is tested with DNA GPRS but it should be compatible with EDGE too.

1. Set up iSync and pair the phone with your Mac (easiest way to get phone connected with BT)
2. Go to System settings (Järjestelmäasetukset) -> Network (Verkko) -> Bluetooth -> Bluetooth Modem tab
3. Select Nokia Infrared as modem type and check everything on that tab (this will make connecting easier in future)
4. Select PPP tab and type dna INTERNET as Service provider, type *99# on the phone number field. Keep username and password blank.
5. Go to PPP settings (PPP-vaihtoehdot) and check Ask password after dialing
6. Apply and save everything.
7. Now you can use Modem icon on top of your screen to Connect.


I've got Finnish version of Mac OS X so someone with English version should check the correct names for tabs etc. I did it once and got it working. I might have forgotten some important step from the process so please verify if it works.
