Wow + MBP + Snow Leopard

Asentelin Snow Leopardin normin Leopardin tilalle, ja Wowin pyörimisessä tapahtui radikaali muutos.
Kone 15" Macbook Pro 9600GT+9400M late 2008.

SL:llä peli rupee nykimään joka kerta kaupungeissa, ei siis ainoastaa Dalaranissa vaan myös vanhallakin puolella. Eli paikoissa joissa on paljon pelaajia samaan aikaan. Lisäksi Northrendissä lentäessä peli nykii kiittettävästi.
Wowi näyttää kaupungeissa että fps olisi n. 130 ja latency jotaa 40-50, eli molemmat hyviä mutta peli menee aivan pelaamattomaan kuntoon, tulee monen sekunnin katkoksia jne. Perus-leopardilla ei ollut mitään saman suuntaisia ongelmia.

Muilla wowittajilla vastaavaa, mahdollisia ratkaisu ehdotuksia? Vai joutuuko palaamaan takaisin normi-leopardiin?

Muistan kyllä että minulla oli aivan samat ongelmat, mutta Snow Leopardin 10.6.2 päivityksen jälkeen ongelmat katosivat. Nyt taas 3.3 patch alensi nopeutta ja patch noteissa lukeekin että OpenGL:ää on muutettu tjsp. Blizzardin omalla foorumilla on runsaasti ketjuja aiheesta ja virallinen apukeino on tässä:

1) Close the WoW application
2) Navigate to your main World of Warcraft folder
3) Open the config.wtf file in your WTF folder
4) Add the following line to the bottom of the file: SET gxapi "OpenGL"
5) Save and Close
6) Restart WoW

En ole itse kokeillut vielä mutta jos koitat niin sano miten kävi

Pitää tarkistaa nuo asetukset kohta kohdalta kun pääsen töistä kotia.

Tossa linkin topicissa mainitut asetukset "vähän" eroavat totuudesta. Tossa on mainittu että 2009 unibody MBP 9600GT-näyttiksellä pyörittäisi medium/max -asetuksilla "65-75fps".
Oma koneeni tosiaan vm. 2008, SL-käyttiksellä & samalla näyttiksellä, ja jos laitan vastaavat asetukset niin veikkaan että fps on lähempänä nollaa kun 65:ttä

Vaikkakin 2009 eroaa 2008-mallista jonkin verran, niin low-asetuksilla on mentävä että peli pyörii.

onse hyvä ettei itellä oo viellä tuota SL:ää.. Toimii moitteettomasti tuolla MBP 13,3" jossa siis 2,26ghz ja 4gb ram.. kertokaa ihmeessä kun saatte toimimaan tuolla SL:llä kunnolla niin itekin uskaltaa päivittää siihen..

Sain Wowin asetukset lopulta niin että kyllä pelailee, mutta silkka fakta on kyllä että piti aika reilusti karsia asetuksia Leopardiin verrattuna.
